Pressley, Dorothy Y. (Stratton), age 57, of Seymour, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2002. Member of Seymour Community Church. Preceded in death by parents, Horace & Jeanetta Statton; brother, Ross L. Stratton; sister, Doris Stratton Tabler Reed. Husband of 31 years, Thomas E. Pressley, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. Pressley, Jr. & Ginger; daughter, Michelle D. Pressley; granddaughter, Sydney Faith Pressley, all of Seymour; brother and sisters-in-law: Reid & Marie Statton, Faye Stratton, all of Vonore; brother-in-law and wife, Joseph H. & Bea Pressley, of Seymour; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2002 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway with the funeral service at 8 PM, Pastor Ed Parton of Freedom Baptist Church and Pastor August (Pete) Koster III of Seymour Community Church officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 9:00 AM Tuesday, May 28, 2002 and will proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 AM interment service.
