Melba Tharp Madden

Madden, Melba Tharp, age 75 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2002. She was retired from Prudential Insurance Company with over 40 years of service. Mrs. Madden was a member of the Eastern Star where she was a past Worthy Matron. She was preceded in death by husband, Lucius Madden and an infant daughter; parents, Cota and Minnie Tharp. Son, Tom Madden; brother, Buddy Tharp; special dear friend, Earl Lowe; nephews, Dean Tharp and Jack Irwin; niece, Debbie Glindmeier. Graveside service Tuesday 1:00 PM Woodlawn Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be the graduates of Young High School Class of 1944. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
