John Hamlyn Gayle, Sr. 83, Of Sevierville died Thursday May 9, 2002. He was a Woodman of the World for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his son, John H. Gayle, Jr. Survivors: Wife of 63 years; Emily Mathis Gayle Daughter and son-in-law; Janice and Roger Fox Sons and daughters-in-law; James Lee and Evelyn Gayle and Stephen Wayne and Lisa Gayle 16 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren Brother and sister-in-law; Robert Lee and Jennie Gayle Funeral service 7 P.M. Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Everett and Rev. W.A. Galyon officiating. Interment 10 A.M. Monday in Boyd’s Creek Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as Pall Bearers.
