Claiborne, Carter, of South Knoxville, died Tuesday, May 07, 2002. Retired from Kern’s Bakeries. Member and past Master of Sevier Lodge #334 F&AM;, Knoxville Scottish Rite, and Kerbela Temple. Preceded in death by mother, Carrie Lynch Claiborne; granddaughters, Stacey W. Berrier and Lacy Weaver; and other loved ones. Wife, Dorothy W. Claiborne; son, Donald E. Claiborne; daughter, Deborah C. and husband, Michael Brooks; son, H. Lander (Lanny) and wife, Nancy Weaver; son, Lawrence G. (Larry) and wife, Deborah Weaver; son, John F. and wife, Betty Weaver; daughter, Susan W. and husband, Tom Ballentine; grandchildren: Donald Claiborne, Roger Claiborne, Sandy Bernard, Sonya Hagy, Jennifer Brooks, Kevin and wife, Annie Weaver and Jacob, Samuel, and Taylor, John F. Weaver, Jr., and Matthew P. Weaver Graveside service will be private. The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital.
