Parley Chapman Solomon

Solomon, Parley Chapman, age 102, of Knoxville crossed over to Paradise Thursday, May 2, 2002 at home. Born February 13, 1900 to John and Elizabeth Chapman in Duff, TN., she lived a simple, full life surrounded by love. Preceded in death by parents; husband, James S. Solomon; daughter, Marie Solomon Smith; son, Earl Solomon; grandson, Eugene Solomon; brothers, Maynard, Millard and Henry Chapman; sisters, Maggie Sharp, Janie Miller and twin sister, Della Lewis. Sons: Kenneth E. Solomon of Morristown, TN; Leroy Solomon of Ferrum, VA; grandsons: Walter, Gary, Roger, and Phillip Solomon; granddaughter, Priscilla Davenport; great-grandchildren: James and Dustin Solomon, Christy Davenport Sullivan, Joseph J. Davenport and Deanna Davenport McQueen, Terry Solomon and Tabitha Fisher; great-great-grandson, Gaige Dalton; devoted friends and caregivers Lettie Glass and Frances Ellison. Funeral services 3:00 PM Sunday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur Pedigo officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday prior to the services in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
