Joseph Neal Halliburton

Halliburton, Joseph Neal, age 75, of Rockford, passed away June 24, 2002 from injuries received in a car accident. He held a Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee and retired from the Department of Human Services after many years of service in Knox and Blount Counties. He was a lifelong member, Deacon, and Sunday school teacher at Stock Creek Baptist Church. He loved his church and church family. Preceded in death by mother, Ruth Brown. Devoted wife of 43 years, Mary Stipes Halliburton; brother, Jay of Maynardville; sister, Nancy of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews. Funeral 3:00 PM Friday, Stock Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Wood and Rev. H.N. Key officiating. Pallbearers will be the Senior Men?s Sunday School class at Stock Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Stock Creek Cemetery. Mr. Halliburton will lie in state from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Friday at Stock Creek Baptist Church. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
