Thomas Jefferson Stroud III

Thomas J. Stroud, III, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday July 4, 2002 at his home in Gatlinburg, Tn. Tom was born October 2, 1954 in Americas, Ga. Surviving Tom is his wife and sole mate Cathy Sarvis Stroud; parents, Mary Jane and Tommy Stroud of Crystal River, Fl.; son, Tommy of Lakeland, Fl.; Aunts and uncles, Sara and Charlie Dubuque of Rogersville, Tn., Joyce and Bill Peak of Huntsville, Al. and cousins, Mary Jane Flake, Ed Skinner, Bill Peak, III, Lynn Bruce and Susan Seija. Tom’s love of music brought to others as well as himself countless hours of enjoyment. He was an accomplished musician playing the guitar, mandolin, fiddle and the banjo. The Clarion Inn and Suites of Gatlinburg is where Tom was employed. He loved his work and the many friends he made. A memorial service will be 3 P.M. Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville, Tn. with Father William Nevils officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to “cats” at the Sevier County Animal Shelter, 959 Gnatty Branch Rd., Sevierville, Tn. 37868-0976. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
