Sam E. Harbin, age 70 of Gatlinburg, died Thursday, January 31, 2002. He was preceded in death by his brother Floyd J. Harbin. Survivors: Wife: Blanche Harbin Son and daughter-in-law: Ed and Carrie Harbin Daughter and son-in-law: Dawn and Tommy Brackins Grandchildren: Jason and Karen Brackins, Chad and Ryan Brackins, Misty Brackins, Charlie Harbin, Kayla Harbin Great-grandchild: Tyler Brackins Brother and sister-in-law: W.C. and Helen Harbin Sister: Ruth Schooten Sisters-in-law: Betty Harbin , Ruby Harbin Eight nephews Five nieces Special friend: Una Ogle Funeral service 3 PM Sunday at Roaring Fork Baptist Church with Rev. David Ayers and Rev. Clayton Brantley officiating. Military graveside service and interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Sgt. Jeff Fisher, Cpl. Keith Brackins, Sgt. Dickie Greene, Cpl. Jim Ham, Officer Adam Rose and Officer Jerry Merica, all of the Gatlinburg Police Department. The family will receive friends 1-3 PM Sunday at Roaring Fork Baptist Church. Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville in charge of arrangements. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
