Hazel Cardwell Watson, age 82 of Pigeon Forge ended her earthly journey Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for some time. She was preceded in death by her husband Burl Watson; parents Bill and Pearlie Cardwell; sisters Flora Cardwell and Lou Vance; brothers Columbus, Vincent, and Jimmy. Survivors: Brothers and wives: Lon and Annabel Cardwell of Johnson City, TN Emert and Cumi Cardwell, Pittman Center Glenn and Faye Cardwell, Pittman Center Many nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Friday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel with Rev. Brian Huff and Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. Interment 12 noon Saturday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bill Cardwell, Ray Green, Tom Vance, Tommy Perryman, Garry Shultz, Ronnie Key. The family will receive friends 6-7 PM Friday at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge,TN.(www.atchleyfuneralhome.com) In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Building Fund, Hills Creek Baptist Church, 154 Hills Creek Road, Sevierville,TN, 37876, where she was a member for 64 years
