Harold Lloyd Chambers

Harold Lloyd Chambers, age 78 of Sevierville, died Monday, January 28, 2002. He was born May 5, 1923 to Conley Gordon Chambers and Effie Kerr Chamber in Sevier County, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl Chambers. He was instrumental in forming the congregation of the Church of Christ in Gatlinburg in 1958 and worked diligently in the growth of the congregation over the years. He was retired from the Aluminum Company of America after 40 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. Survivors include: Loving wife of 55 years: Mae Spurgeon Chambers Sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Deanna Chambers Kyle and Elizabeth Chambers Chris Chambers and Crissy Grandchildren: Sean Chambers Amanda Chambers Special brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert and Allean Huskey Aubrey Spurgeon Many nieces and nephews Harold never met a stranger, was endeared by all who knew him, and was always glad to help anyone in need. Funeral service 7:30 PM Tuesday in the East chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Minister Jay Mack officiating. Interment 11 AM Wednesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
