Foley, Derrick Lee, age 23 of Knoxville, passed away Friday January 25, 2002. He was a graduate of South Doyle High School, class of 1997 where he was a member of the football team for 4 years. He was an employee of Food Lion. Father, Mark Foley; mother, Sandy Tanner; grandparents, William and Mary Sue Foley; sister, Sara Foley; step brother, Chad Phillips; great-grandmother, Mary Hendrix; aunt, Della Foley; uncles, Randy and wife, Marie Sims and John Foley and several cousins; special beloved friend Patti Thigpen. Funeral service will be 8:00 PM Sunday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Larry Warren officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 6632 Chapman Highway 37920. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
