Fred Andrew Dykes

Fred A. Dykes, age 80 of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at Baptist Hospital of East TN. He was the son of the late Tommy and Hattie (Latham) Dykes. He was a member and deacon of Dripping Springs Baptist Church, where he was also treasurer for twenty-seven years. Mr. Dykes was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company in 1983 and was a member of the “25 Year Club”. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis Ray Dykes; sisters Lucy Gibson and husband Henry, Gracie Gibson and husband James, Mayme Gibson and husband Lloyd, Florence Morgan and husband Carl, and Lois Dykes; brothers Kenneth and Billy Dykes. Survivors: Wife: Ada (Bull) Dykes Daughters and sons-in-law: Janice and Bill Lewelling Joann and Bud Wolf Sons and daughters-in-law: Garry and Kearan Dykes Ronnie and Diane Dykes Grandchildren and spouses: Kim and Dale Davis Kristie and Michael Berrier Tina and Danny Galyon Jeff and Wendy Wolf Craig Wolf Kacey and Deven Dykes Great-grandchildren: Dalyn Davis MaKayla Berrier Jordan Wolf Troy Galyon. Sisters: Ann Bull Betty Humphrey and husband Larry Brothers and sisters-in-law: Roy and Gearldene Dykes James and Blanche Dykes Howard and Nell Dykes Carl and Linda Dykes Jessie and Judy Dykes Several nieces, nephews and friends Funeral service 2 PM Sunday at Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
