Washam, Marlenia, age 84, of South Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2002. Member of Star of Hope Assembly of God. She retired from Palm Beach Company. Preceded in death by husband, Claude Everett Washam. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted her life to service for the Lord. Daughters & sons-in-law: Wilma and Bill Davenport; Peggy and Ronnie Neff; grandchildren: Fred Staley, Jr. and wife, Debbie; Richard Staley and wife, Raquel; Brian Staley and wife, Suzanne; Ronnie Neff, Jr. and wife, Donna; Rodney Neff and wife, Angie; Valerie Gibbs and husband, Mark; Maria McNutt and husband, Brad; Mitzi Crowder and husband, Chris; Rhonda Terrill and husband, Troy; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Jannie Sise, Flora Mae Johnson, Maxine Bernheisel; brother: William (Laudy) Redmon; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Friday, Berry Chapel with Rev. Jack Ridings and Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment Highland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Fred Staley, Jr., Richard Staley, Brian Staley, Ronnie Neff, Jr., Rodney Neff, Mark Gibbs, Brad McNutt, and Chris Crowder. Memorial contributions may be made to Star of Hope Assembly of God, 1921 Sunny Lane, Knoxville 37912. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
