Bernard W. Keister, Sr.

Keister, Bernard W., Sr., age 55, of Knoxville, born in Delaware, Ohio on March 23, 1946 went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2002. He moved to Johnson City, Tennessee in 1971 where he worked for Wright’s Supermarket for many years. He moved to Knoxville, Tennessee in 1984. He became owner and operator of Keister’s Refrigeration in 1990. Preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Dorma Keister. His wife of 20 years, Linda S. Goodman Keister; daughters, Misty Keister of Knoxville, Jennifer Keister of Elizabethton; daughters and sons-in-law, Kandi and Artie White of Johnson City; Cyndi and David Guinn of Elizabethton; stepdaughter, Rebecca Greene of Atlanta, GA; stepdaughter and husband, Brenda and Michael Byrum of Elizabethton; stepson and wife, Buddy and Sandra Greene of Johnson City; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Pat Keister of Spring Hill, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews; and special friends, Walter and Marjorie Reed. Funeral service Saturday 2:00 PM at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Hollie Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Colin West, Robert Caldwell, Gary Worley, Harold Edmonds, Max Gosnell, and Ronnie Reed. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
