Edith G. Cross

Cross, Edith G., age 84, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Hillcrest North Nursing Home. She was a member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church and a retired employee of Standard Knitting Mill. Preceded in death by parents Charles Thomas & Chloe Roberts Cross; brothers, Frank, Clarence and Hugh Cross. Survivors include nieces, Linda Cook, Knoxville and Robin Sutherland, Louisville, KY; nephew, C. W. Cross, Jr., Knoxville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Steve Damos officiating. Family & friends will meet at Mount Olive Cemetery at 11:00 AM Tuesday for graveside services. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Hillcrest North Nursing Home.
