Doris Clement Sherrod

Sherrod, Doris Clement, age 74, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, December 16, 2002 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church and was retired from Wood Agency. Preceded in death by husband, William A. Sherrod; parents, Henley and Carra Clement of Thornhill; sister, Helen Jackson; and brother, Herbert Clement. Daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Turpin; sons, William H. Sherrod of Hampton, VA and Stephen B. Sherrod; grandchildren, Cara Turpin of Knoxville, Matt Turpin of Montgomery, AL, Katie and Rachel Sherrod of Jasper, GA; great-grandchildren, Blake and Abigail Turpin of Montgomery, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Pauline Clement of Morristown; sister-in-law, Mabel Clement; brother-in-law, Burley Jackson; special niece, Christine Cameron; and several other nieces and nephews. A Witness to the Resurrection Funeral Service celebrating the life of Doris Clement Sherrod will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Graystone Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Knisley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Graystone Presbyterian Church, 139 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920.
