Cross, Ruby Irene McCarley, age 83, of Knoxville, passed away August 17, 2002 at Farragut Healthcare Center. Preceded in death by father, Lewis Crawford Rose; mother, Maggie Ellen Dunsmore Rose; 7 brothers and 2 sisters; husbands, Charles E. Cross, Charles M. McCarley, and Paul Stout. Member of Valley View Baptist Church. Sons, Eddie L. Stout, Ronald W. McCarley, Stephen C. McCarley, Roger L. McCarley; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral service 8:00 PM Monday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Dewey Cooper and Rev. Arville Crawford officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Tuesday and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service. Pallbearers will be Jack Cross, Jr., Stephen D., Derek, Andrew, Eddie L., Ronald W., Stephen C., and Roger L. McCarley. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
