Stella Esther Rogers Baker

Stella Esther Rogers Baker, age 100 of Sevierville, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 2, 2002 at Fort Sanders-Sevier Nursing Home. She was the oldest member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Baker, a son Reece who was killed in World War II, parents, Anderson and Nancy Ellen Rogers, son-in-law, Rowe King, sisters, Martha Galyon, Mae Stoner, Lillie Spurling, brothers, Elmer Rogers, Will Rogers, Otilee Rogers, and Tim Rogers. Survivors: Daughters: Katheryn King, of Seymour Opal Johnson and devoted son-in-law, Carl Johnson Sons and daughters-in-law: Beecher and Bertha Baker, of Seymour Buford and Fern Baker, of Sevierville 10 Grandchildren 14 Great Grandchildren 5 Great Great Grandchildren Sister: Lucy Dunlap, of Maryville Sister-in-law: Ethyl Rogers, of Sevierville Several nieces and nephews The family would like to thank Fort Sanders-Sevier Nursing Home for all they did for Mrs. Baker. Funeral service 7 PM Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W.A. Galyon and Rev. Floyd Powell officiating. Interment 11 AM Monday in Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
