Watson, Ollie Witt, age 99, of South Knoxville, died Friday, April 26, 2002 at Hillcrest North. Formerly of Strawberry Plains and Mimice, Florida. Member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church, Alcoa Highway. Last member of 18 children by John and Ellen Wilson. Preceded in death by husbands, D.B. Witt and Chester Watson; daughters, Nina B. Witt, Ella V. Rader and son-in-law Paul H. Ellison. Son John (Tucker) Witt and wife Evelyn of Strawberry Plains; their children Johnnie, Allen, Sam, Gerry and Beverly; daughter, Floriene Watson Lytle and her children Marie, Jim, Mark, and Bradley; children of late Ella V. Rader: Danny and Tim Rader; daughters: Gladys Ellison Rader and husband Chas; Martha Witt Pack and daughter Lou Ellen; Shirley Wilson Pendlton and husband Gene; their children Donnie and Bryant of West Palm, Florida; 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral 2:00 PM Monday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Abernathy and Rev. Herman Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Ortiz, Brad Geames, Jim Kormons, John Witt, Jr., Allen and Sam Witt, Danny and Tim Rader. Memorials may be made to Sevier Heights Baptist Church “Keeping the Vision Alive” 3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
