Willard Swanson Bean

Willard Swanson Bean, (Mrs. Floyd), age 95, died Saturday, April 13, 2002 at 8:25 AM at Hillcrest South Nursing Home. Member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Taught in Blount County school system before marriage, and later taught in Knox County school system. Along with her teaching position at Giffin Elementary School, she held positions as school clerk at Anderson and Galbraith schools. Preceded in death by parents, Luther and Daisy Swanson; brothers, Wayne and Wendel Swanson; sisters, Helenworth Worley and Winona Taylor, nephew Joe Worley. Husband, Floyd H. Bean of Hillcrest South Nursing Home; daughter, Betsy Bean of Talbott; son and daughter-in-law, Barry N. and Linda Bean of Talbott; grandaughters and spouses: Lacey and Brett Maragni of Jacksonville, FL.; Jenny and Anthony Atkins of Morristown; grandson and spouse, Bradley and Sharon Bean of Morristown; nephew, Dan Worley of Maryville. Graveside Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
