Ola Craig

CRAIG, OLA B., age 93, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Saturday September 22, 2001 at St. Mary’s Hospice. Member of North Lonsdale Church of God for 48 years, and most recently Redemption Harvest Church. A faithful servant of the Lord for 85 years, taught Sunday School for many years, played an active role in her church, and was the wife of the late Rev. W.A. Craig. Preceded in death by 1st husband, Samuel F. Wyrick; parents, John and Annie Rogers Byrd; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Jewell and Allen Meringer of Atlanta; Vivian and Bobby Griffey of Knoxville; Debby and Gary Watson of Knoxville; a very special nephew and wife, Tommy and Kathy Lay of Strawberry Plains; step-daughter, Helen Hatmaker; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Byrd of Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 P.M. Monday Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Kenny Byrd officiating. Interment service 12noon Monday at Greenwood Cemetery.
