Bill Casteel

Casteel, Billy H., age 72, of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, September 18 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Powell. Bill lived his life for God and had served as a deacon at Ridgeview Baptist Church and West Haven Baptist Church. He was a Mason of the 32nd Degree. He retired from Kaatz, Binkley and Jones Architectural Firm. Survived by wife, Doris Kegley Casteel; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Mark Ludwig of Powell; sisters and brother-in-laws, Imagene and Jack Murrah of Oak Ridge, Edna and Donny Nagle of Pennsylvania; brothers and sister-in-law, Bernard Casteel of Erwin, Raymond Casteel of Knoxville, Robert and Beverly Casteel of Knoxville; grandchildren, Chip and Kendra Ludwig of Powell, as well as several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darryl Casteel, Jack Murrah, Bob Murrah, Rick Stansberry, Floyd Ludwig, Jason Ludwig, Greg Ludwig and Rob Ludwig. Funeral service Thursday at 8 p.m. at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Pastor Phil Jones officiating. Interment Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Lynnhurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at LYNNHURST-GREENWOOD CHAPEL of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive.
