Rose, Essie Wilcox, age 100, Brakebill Nursing Home, Knoxville, passed away Thursday morning. Member of Meadow View Baptist Church for more than 40 years. Preceded in death by husband, Shirley Rose. Survived by daughters, Edith Warren, Sevierville, TN; Hazel Stubblefield, Rochester, WA; Clellis Houk, Knoxville; Reba Kirkpatrick, Las Vegas, NV; Audra Rose, Knoxville; Carolyn Kirkland, Knoxville; sons, Murrell Rose, Powell; Vernon Rose, Knoxville; 23 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral service Friday 8:00 p.m., Berry Chapel with Dr. Nathan Livington officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Meridian Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
