Byrd, Elizabeth Kirby White, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2001 at Brakebill Nursing Home where she was a resident. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank White; daughter, Betty White Sprain; parents Oscar and Ivy Underwood Kirby; brother Oscar (Junior) Kirby; sister Mildred Kirby Wayland. . She is survived by husband Claude W. Byrd; daughters and sons-in-law: Joan and Jim Singleton; Kathy and Danny Herrell; grandsons Jim Sprain and wife Sherrie; Michael Sprain and wife Laura; Nathan McFalls; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Arnold (Red) Kirby and wife Reba Lee; dear special friend Sylvia Hollifield. The family wishes to offer their heartfelt thanks to the staff on the Yellow Wing at Brakebill Nursing Home. Funeral service Monday 8:00 PM, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Delmar Loy, Rev.
