Howard Dee (H.D.) Rule, Jr., age 54 of Sevierville, died Tuesday May 8, 2001. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Dee Rule, Sr. and Mary Ruth Mashburn Rule. Survivors: Wife: Susan Rule Sons: David Rule Scott Waldroup 3 Grandchildren Step-sister: Ann Rule King and husband Roy Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Stephens officiating. Interment 11 AM Friday in Gists Creek Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Roy King, Fred Ogle, David Moore, Earl Moore, Wayne Maranville, and Bob Sims. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Breeden, Dave Maranville, and Paul Baker. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
