Earl E. Wood

WOOD, EARL E. - age 95, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, March 23, 2001, at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville. Mr. Wood was a long time member of Smithwood Baptist Church, and was retired from the Knox County School System. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Wood. Survivors: wife, Roberta M. Wood; daughters and sons-in-law, Candyce and George Bell of Chattanooga and Joy and Mike Blankenship of Knoxville; daughter, Mary Ann Wood of Knoxville; brother, Ivan Wood and wife Sue of Knoxville; grandchildren, Kate and Julie Bell of Chattanooga, and Bonny and Mark Blankenship of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Dr. Glenn Sullivan officiating.
