WINTER, PERRY HOBART "HOBE" - born May 23, 1908, in Knoxville, passed away Monday, March 19, 2001, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice Hospital. He was retired from Burkhart Enterprises Inc., and a member of IB of TCW & H of A. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas Alvin and Maude Russell Winter; son and only child, Rev. James Hobart Winter; brothers, Albert J. Winter, James C. Winter, and William Lee Winter. Survivors: wife, Elizabeth Shelton Winter; daughter-in-law, Patti Pippin Winter of Knoxville; three step children, James R. Scarbrough of Knoxville, Linda and husband Jerry Cash of Knoxville, and Anna M. Turner of Winter Park, Fla.; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A special thanks to St. Mary's Residential Hospice for their care and love, and to Ray Burkhart and Nancy McCroskey. Funeral service 7 p.m. Thursday at Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Dudley D. Cockrum officiating. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Residential Hospice or Broadway Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr. LynnhurstChapel.com
