Leaper Gertrude Hurst Williams, age 82 of Knoxville, died Monday, March 12, 2001 at Briar Cliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge, TN. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years , Floyd H. Williams, brothers, Lee Hurst, Connie Hurst, Clarence Hurst, Marshall Hurst, sisters, Helen Smelcer, Polly Branam. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Sherry Williams Daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ann and Bud Haun Grandson: Scott Williams and wife Donna Granddaughter: Melissa Haun Great Grandson: Joseph Harrison Williams Grandson’s mother: Connie Mannard Brother: Everett Hurst Sisters: Dorothea Howard, Victoria Branam, Esta Bea Smelcer, Josie Donoho Funeral service 7:30pm Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Ball officiating. Interment 11am Thursday in Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:30pm Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home.
