STANSBERRY, WILLIAM P. - age 85 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday March 10, 2001 at his residence after a long illness. He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church and the Painters Local #437. Retired from the University of Tennessee Paint Shop. He was preceded in death by parents, George W. and Ida L. Stansberry; brother, George W. Stansberry, Jr.; sisters, Nadine Collins and Mary Lee; grandson, Jeffrey Ray Stansberry. Survivors: loving wife of 65 years, Lillian Thompson Stansberry; daughter and son in law, Wanda and Joe Williams; sons and daughters in law, Connie M. and Clara Stansberry, Billy Ray and Pat Stansberry, Powell, Rev. Kenneth David and Delsie Stansberry, Seymour, Jay Ricky and Janet Stansberry, Powell; grandsons, Scott, Todd, Jay, Chris Stansberry; granddaughters, Kim Ingram, Angelia Milligan, Shelley Wilson, April Cole; great grandsons, Carson Cole, Eli Milligan; great granddaughters, Meghan, Allison, Kynzie Stansberry and Sarah Ingram; sisters, Edith Whaley, Bonnie Kraut, Fairmont, Ga.; brothers, Bryant L. Stansberry, Rev. Arthur L. Stansberry, Athens, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons in law. Funeral services will be Monday 8 p.m. at Ridgeview Baptist Church, Lacy Rd. with the Rev.'s George W. Gilbert and Maston Jackson officiating. Interment will be Tuesday 1 p.m. at Byrd's Chapel Cemetery, Yarnell Road. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Ridgeview Baptist Church, Lacy Rd., with Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home 2300 W.
