Blanche Pace

Pace, V. Blanche Davis, of South Knoxville passed away 12:00 p.m., July 24, 2001 at University of Tennessee Hospital. Born March 26, 1920, daughter of Andrew Hitch Davis and Vola Runyan Davis, of Sevierville, Tennessee. Graduate of Sevier County High School and Austin Peay State University, she was an employee of the Fulton-Sylphon Company during WWII and subsequently worked at the Knoxville office of the New England Life Insurance company for many years. In her retirement, she was active in the South Knoxville AARP chapter and served as a volunteer at Mooreland Heights Elementary School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sevierville. Mrs. Pace was preceded in death by husband, Ashe H. Pace; brother, Cecil T. Davis; and sister Bobbie J. Paschal. Survived by her son, Robert Ashley Pace of Knoxville; brothers, James A. Davis of Kirksville, Missouri, Gene H. Davis of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; sisters, Betty D. Murray of Arlington, Virginia and Helen Josephine Ball of Winter Park, Florida and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends between 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Berry Funeral Home on Friday, July 27. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ron Lawson. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery for interment at 2:00 p.m. www.berryfuneralhome.com.
