WISE, VIOLA S.(Granny), age 81 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday July 18, 2001 at NHC Ft. Sanders. Member of Second United Methodist Church, Florence Creswell Sunday School Class, and Joy Fellowship. Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Auxillary #2698, where she was past State Madam President. Preceded in death by husband, Roddy L.Wise; son, Paul G. Humphreys. Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Ruby and Dewey Lay of Knoxville, Sandra and Jerry Puffenbarger of Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Karen Humphreys of Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Shirley Humphrey of Knoxville; sister, Lois Duncan of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Friday 11:00 A.M. at Second United Methodist with Rev. Bob Tripp and Rev. Gerald McFarland officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Food Ministry of Second United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M.
