Lucille Vannoy

VANNOY, LUCILLE CARTER, age 79, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday July 17, 2001 at her home. Member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Retired teacher with Knox County School System with 21 years at Gibbs Middle School. Member of NEA and TEA. Preceded in death by father, Ernest Carter; mother, Dillie Etter Carter Bain; sister, Juanita Ayers; and brother, Bob Carter. Survivors include husband of 52 years, Claude Vannoy; brother, Bill Carter on Canton, Ohio; sisters-in-law, June Vannoy of Knoxville, Betty Quenstedt of Leavenworth, Kansas; Norma Bird and husband Bill of Corryton, and Nancy Cloud and husband Bill of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:00 P.M. Thursday Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Charles Earl officiating. Interment 11:00 A.M. Friday in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
