James Arlie Messer, Sr.

James Arlie Messer, Sr., age 89 of Sevierville, died Monday, July 16, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wives Martha Ann W. Messer and Odessie W. Messer; son, James A. “Bud” Messer, Jr. and daughter Charlotte Ann Messer. Mr. Messer was retired from ALCOA and was a member of the “25 year club”. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law: Mary Ellen and Roger Meece of Lexington, Kentucky Son and daughter-in-law: Thomas W. and Imogene Messer of Sevierville Granddaughter: Martha Ann Lail and husband Jeff of Kentucky Grandsons: Thomas W. Messer, Jr. and wife Donna of Sevierville James A. Meece of Chicago,Illinois Great-grandchildren: Drew Lail David McMahan Leslie McMahan Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Ben Whitted officiating.
