Jeffery C. Hatcher

Jeffery C. Hatcher, 45, of Wears Valley, died Friday, July 13, 2001, as the result of a car accident. He was a graduate of Hiwassee College and the University of Tennessee. He spent more than 30 years with the Silver Dollar City-Dollywood Co. He was director of safety and security for Dollywood. He was active in the Boy Scouts and the American Youth Soccer Organization and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sevierville. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Hatcher Sr. He is survived by his wife, Suzi Early Hatcher; sons, Adam E. and Justin W. Hatcher; mother, Nelle T. Hatcher; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim F. and Doris Hatcher and Kent A. and Patty Hatcher; sister, Phyllis Sims; twin sister, Jennifer C. Dunaway, and husband, Daryl; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Deana Early; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service is 7 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Sevierville, with the Rev. Buddy Hauk, the Rev. Bob Gonia and Dollywood Chaplain Pete Owen officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Sevierville or to the Gatlinburg-Pittman High School Band. Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville, is in charge of arrangements.
