Jenkins, Tommie "Granny", age 97, of South Knoxville, passed away July 11, 2001 at Baptist Hospital. Preceded in death by husband, Labe Jenkins; parents, William and Mattie Goddard Nuchols, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 3 son-in-laws, Claude Thomas, Roy Hundley, Eldridge "Shady" Payne. Member of Gayland Heights Baptist Church. Daughters: Lois Thomas The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the 3rd Floor staff at Baptist Hospital, Dr. Clint Dorian, Dr. Rick Mays, and Dr. Dorian's associate, Eric. Graveside service 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Highland South Cemetery, with Rev. Claude Thomas and Sam Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
