Carroll Reece Whaley

Carroll R. Whaley, age 71 of Pigeon Forge, died Saturday, December 22, 2001. He was a member of the Pigeon Forge Lion’s Club, Knoxville City Sales Club and founder of the Mountain View Hotel Employees reunion. He was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd “Doc” Whaley and Laura Whaley Merritt; brothers, Everette and Forace Whaley; sister, Audie Whaley Trotter. Survivors: Wife: Charlotte Lee Whaley Daughter: Mary Elisa Whaley Obarr of Huntington Beach, CA Grandsons: Dominic Tokar Brooks Tokar Brothers: Estes Whaley and wife Trula of Crewe, VA Leon Whaley and wife Carolyn of Rutledge, TN Sisters: Betty Sue Gibson and husband Nelson Reba Romines Zella Webb and husband J.C. Several nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Maples officiating. Interment 10 AM Thursday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
