Proctor, Jimmie C. (James), age 60, of Sweetwater, Tennessee was promoted to Paradise Friday, December 7, 2001. He attended Kimberlin Heights Church of God. Preceded in death by father and mother, Marvin and Maggie Proctor; brothers Joe and William Proctor; sister, Dorothy Fritts. Wife, Shirley Ann Proctor; daughters Sherry Britt, Vicky and James Light, Tammy and Richard Long; son Jay and Suzanne McCarter; step-children: Vickey Rice and Joe Proctor, Jr.; sisters: Vedis Stephenson, Mary and Frank Peroulas; brother Edward and Faye Proctor; grandchildren: Joshua Adam Proctor; Venny, Randall, Cassie, Christian, Hannah, Jimmy, Nicole, Nicholas, Sarah, and Jessica; great-grandchildren: Michael and Austin; mother-in-law, Evelyn Milligan and family. He awaits his reunion with many other relatives and friends. Funeral service Monday, 2:00 PM, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Rebecca Milligan officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
