Etta M. Proffitt, age 95, Of Pittman Center, Died December 6, 2001. She was born December 25, 1905 in Webbs Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence A. Proffitt, Twins, Everett and Evelyn, son, Eugene Proffitt, sister, Golden Proffitt, brothers, Wilford Morris, Hayden Morris, Johnny Morris, Sam Morris, & Clive Morris, son-in-law, Jim Brown. Survivors: Sons: Johnny and Claire Proffitt Billy and Melanie Proffitt Gerald and Marge Proffitt Daughters: Carolyn Lucille Brown Juanita and Bill Roberts Betty and Winston McCarter 20 Grandchildren 25 Great-Grandchildren 1Great-Great-Grandchild Daughter-in-law: Margaret Proffitt Green Brother: Hugh Morris of Fines Creek, NC Sister: Mae McCracken of Waynesville, NC Funeral service will be Sunday at 6 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Carr and Rev. Andy Ball officiating. Interment services will be Monday 11 AM in the Proffitt Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 PM at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
