MOSER, SARA SUE "TOMMY" NUCHOLS - age 88, of South Knoxville and Powell, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2001. Member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville, where she taught Sunday School Nursery Classes for many years. Graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Taught in Blount County Schools and was an active partner with her husband as owners of Moser's in Knoxville and Maryville. Active worker and leader of the Parents Organization at Elmwood, Staub, Tyson, and Fort Sanders Schools. Past President of Timberlake Garden Club and a lifetime member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. Preceded in death by husband, Eugene H. Moser; son, Jacob Brandolph Moser; parents, Thomas Lamar and Rachel Susan Davis Nuchols; brothers, James Davis Nuchols and Sam Nuchols, and special niece, Alice Sue Nuchols Robinson. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Tommy Gene and Max Nichols of Powell; daughter, Sally Moser-Guaschino of Farragut; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Carolyn Brown-Moser of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Wendy and Michael Banks of Japan, Tim and Vickie Nichols of Powell, Rebecca Nichols of Powell, and Thomas Guaschino of Farragut; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Rachel Bell of Japan, and Vida Brown-Moser of Jefferson City; sister, Mary Nuchols Hitch of Maryville; sister-in-law, Jane Moser Armstrong; special nephew, Jim Giffin of Powell; special niece, Marilyn Moser Ball of Knoxville, and special little friend, Mikie. The family wishes to thank those special friends Clarise Rogers, Dawn Fielden, and Vera Harrison for their love throughout the years and the wonderful staff on the West Wing of Holston Health Care, especially Brenda Trest and Sarah Griffin. Graveside services Thursday, 11 a.m., Woodlawn Cemetery, Dr. Dave Ward officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knox County Association for Retarded Citizens, 3000 North Central Street, Knoxville, TN 37919, or the charity of your choice.
