Ruby Mae Whaley Lawrence, age 70 of Knoxville passed away at Baptist Hospital Thursday night April 12, 2001, after a lingering illness. She was preceded in death by husband Gary H. Kennedy, infant son & daughter, parents, Kenneth H. & Donie Whaley, brother, Dewey Whaley & sister Grace Dellinger. Survivors: Husband: Bill F. Lawrence Step-Daughter: Kay Frazier & husband Jackie Step-son: William Dennis Lawrence Grandsons: Chuck & Gary Lynn Frazier & wives 4 Great Grandchildren Brothers: Willie & wife Ruby Whaley Claude Whaley & wife Betty Clyde Whaley Earl Whaley & wife Judy Sisters: Margie Ogle Gladys Smith & husband Jerry Betty Lawrence & husband Don Hettie Sue Kennedy & husband Ronald Many Nieces and Nephews Funeral service 7pm Saturday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Frazier, and Rev. Wes Ingram officiating. Interment 2pm Sunday in Middle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home.(
