James Fancher

FANCHER, JAMES WESLEY - age 76, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Baptist Hospital. Member of Stonewall Baptist Church and Charles McKinney Lodge #433, York Rite and Kerbela Temple, where he volunteered with van transportation service for Crippled Childrens Hospital. Retired from U. S. Navy Seabees, with 44 years of service and a member of the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Survivors: wife, Anna Ruth Fancher; mother, Rosa Mae Fancher; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and James Dunn of Erwin, Tenn., and Eva Louise and Ray McGinnis; grandchildren, Kimberly Jersey and husband Daniel, Jimmy Dunn, Regina McGinnis, and R. L. McGinnis; great-grandson, Tarren Jersey; sisters, Dorothy Newman of Maryland and Mary Louise Hutchins; brother, Robert Fancher; several nieces and nephews. . Funeral service 8 p.m. Friday Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Rev. James Dunn officiating. Interment Saturday 12 noon at Greenwood Cemetery with Military honors by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
