Thomas Edgar Murphy

Murphy, Thomas Edgar, age 84 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at Baptist Hospital. Mr. Murphy, who was retired from the United Carr Company, was a decorated veteran of World War II and was a member of the South Knoxville Church of God. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Sarah Romines Murphy; sister, Agnes Talley; brother, Gene Murphy, and a son, Glenn Murphy. Wife of 69 years: Lucille Colquitt Murphy Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:30 PM at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Bellamy and Mr. Joe Sentell officiating. Pallbearers will be Rev. Raymond McCranie, Raymond Tinsley, Jack Smith, Ken Talley, Chris Scoggins, Robert Harthoorn. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard.
