Marie Gerth Kershner

Mrs. C.W. (Marie) Kershner , died at the age of 104 Wednesday morning, November 29, 2000, at Ft. Sanders-Sevier Medical Center Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for almost ten years. She and her late husband moved to Pigeon Forge from Chicago when he retired in the early fifties. She came to this country from Germany to escape the rigors of World War I. She was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Berta Gerth and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her nieces: Ruth Gerth, Anneliese Duescher, Edith Roser and nephew Herman Gerth, all of Germany. Friends are invited to gather at 10:30 AM Friday, Dec. 1 at Pigeon Forge Cemetery for graveside and interment. The Rev. Bob Tripp will officate.
