Walter Butler Bailes, age 80 of Sevierville, TN died Monday, November 27, 2000. Mr. Bailes was born in Charleston, WV , was a minister and a master songwriter and singer of country gospel music. Survivors: Wife: Frankie Bailes Sons: Dale, David and Vernon Bailes 4 grandchildren Special nieces: Judy Turner and Jean Dowling Brother: Homer Bailes Sister-in-law: Edith Woods Funeral service 2 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Forrest Goodman, Rev. Curtis Manning, Rev. Sammie Russell, Rev. Jack Cates and Rev. Jimmy Dukes officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Pigeon Forge.
