Leland, Jennie Lynn McConnell, age 79, of 308 Liveoak Lane Knoxville, native of Blount County, expired on November 12, 2000 at Baptist Hospital. Presbyterian Ordained Elder, member of Second Presbyterian Church, Knoxville. Graduate of Knoxville General Hospital School of Nursing, Vanderbilt University, and University of California. Member of International Scholarship Society. Well known instructor of Professional Nursing, Health Care Management, Medical Terminology in Southern California Colleges. Taught Medical Terminology at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Holder of the Golden Apple award for excellence in teaching. Preceded in death by sisters, Anna Helen andBlanche Terry and brothers Robert and Harold McConnell. Son: Brian Philip Leland Funeral 8 p.m. Thursday, Berry Chapel. Interment: 2 p.m. Friday Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway
