William 'Bill' Reed, Jr.

Reed, William "Bill", Jr., nickname Snake, age 59, of South Knoxville, passed away March 31, 2000 at his home. Member of New Hopewell Baptist Church. He was employed by Goddard Industries and a former employee of Marmon Transmotive. He was an avid Bluegrass and fiddle player. Wife of 40 years: Mary Ellen Porterfield Reed Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Monday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jamie Porterfield and Kenny Porterfield officiating. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 11:15 AM Tuesday and proceed to New Hopewell Cemetery for a 12:00 Noon graveside service. Pallbearers will be Robert Porterfield, David Porterfield, Harold Reed, Josh Ward, Robert Perry III, and Mike Hill. Honorary pallbearer will be Josh Reed.
