Billy L. Williamson, Sr.

Billy L. Williamson, Sr., age 67, of South Knoxville, passed away Friday, June 30, 2000, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he served many years as a Deacon and a leader of young boys. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a graduate of East Tennessee State University. He taught both elementary and high school in Campbell County. Mr. Williamson was a member of the National Management Association and retired from Robertshaw Controls. Wife: Mary Nell Funeral services 2:00 PM Sunday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. David Head and Rev. Gary Armstrong officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of the church. Family and friends will meet Monday, July 3, 2000 at Highland South Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment service. Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church General Fund, 2500 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920. The family will receive friends following the services at the church until 4:00 PM Sunday.
