Ricky Allen Flanagan

Flanagan, Ricky Allen, age 38 of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly due to a fatal accident on July 14, 2000. He was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was a graduate of South-Young High School, class of 1980. He attended U.T. and was an employee of Comcast Cable Company for 19 years. Rick was an active member of Colonial Heights United Methodist Church and shared his faith through his gift of song as a choir member, quartet member and soloist. He served his church as a member of various committees over the years and worked faithfully in the youth program. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church. Preceded in death by daughter, Mikayla Ann Flanagan. Wife: Lizabeth Thornton Flanagan The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church. Following will be a worship celebration service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Robert Countiss officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday, July 17th at Colonial Heights Church and will proceed at 10:30 a.m. in procession to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Pallbearers: Dee and Shane Flanagan, Scott Bacon, Jim and Michael Thornton, Alan McInturff. Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Hill, Chuck Wheeler, Don Reed, Craig Houser and Jay Zartman. Memorials may be made to Colonial Heights United Methodist Church, 6321 Chapman Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37920. We are all thankful and feel blessed that we shared Rick's Life.
