Howe, Marie L. Brauns Smith, age 71, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2000 at home after a battle with leukemia. She was of Presbyterian faith. She retired from Valley Bank, now 1st Tennessee Bank, after 20 years of service. She was an active member of Grand Squares Club, a square dance club in Knoxville. Husband: James T.
