Wilbur D. Johnson, age 83, of South Knoxville, passed away December 23, 2000 at Royal Care Nursing Home at Harriman. Member of New Hopewell Baptist Church and Shekinah Lodge #524 F& AM. Veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II. Retired from KUB and Tennessee School for the Deaf. Preceded in death by wife, Evelyn Johnson who passed away December 9, 2000. Son and Daughter-in-law: Dave and Sandy Johnson-Fairfield Glade, Crossville Funeral 1 PM Friday, New Hopewell Baptist Church. Rev. Corey Golden officiating. Interment: New Hopewell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hopewell Baptist Church, 943 Kimberlin Heights Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920.
